The Psychopathology of Everyday Life, and collects material to use in his work Jokes and their relation to the Unconscious. Publishes The Psychical Mechanism of Forgetfulness. Concludes
The Interpretation of Dreams (except Chapter 7). 1899 - Publishes Screen Memories. The Interpretation of Dreams is published on November 4th, subjected to publishing in 1900. The book goes
unnoticed. 1900 - October 14th: Starts the analysis of an 18-year-old girl, Dora. 1901 - Publishes On Dreams, a summary of The Interpretation of Dreams. Writes Dream and Hysteria,
accounting the analysis of Dora, a work published in 1905 under a different title. His relationships with Fliess start to be altered. A trip to Rome. Publication of Psychopathology of Every Day Life.
1902 - March 5th: Emperor Franz-Joseph signs Freud's appointment as profesor extraordinarius. Freud stops writing to Fliess. Initiates Psychoanalytical Evening Sessions on Wednesdays.
1903 - The first disciples (Federn, Stekel, etc.) 1904 - Trip to Athens. Starts correspondence with Bleuler. 1905 - Publishes Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality, Jokes and their Relation to
the Unconscious and Fragment of an Analysis of a Case of Hysteria (Dora). 1906 - C.G. Jung starts his correspondence with Sigmund Freud. 1907 - In March, Freud receives C.G. Jung's visit

Mourning and Melancholia is published together with the first part of Introductory Lectures on Psycho-Analysis. 1918 - Publishes From the History of an Infantile Neurosis (the Man with the Wolves).
1919 - Publishes A Child is being Beaten. 1920 - Publishes Beyond the Pleasure Principle. 1921 - Publishes Group Psychology and the Analysis of the Ego.
The Congress in Hague. 1922 - Congress in Berlin. 1923 - A diagnosis is made to his jaw cancer. His first surgery intervention. Publication of The Ego and the Id. 1925 -
An Autobiographical Study. Negation. Abraham's death (December). 1926 - Inhibition, Symptoms and Anxiety. 1927 - Publication of the volume The Future of an Illusion. 1929 - Arnold Zweig publishes an essay under the title Freud und der Mensch, praising Sigmund Freud as a savior from religious and pathological terror. Freud publishes Civilization and its Discontents. 1930 - Awarded the Goethe Prize. (Anna replaces him in Frankfort where reads his thanking discourse). September: Freud's mother dies. Collaboration with Bullitt to write Thomas Woodrow Wilson, to be published in
1967. 1932 - Sandor Ferenczi turns down his appointment as President of the International Psychoanalytical Association as result of conflicts of ideas with Freud on certain aspects of psychoanalysis. New
introductory Lectures on Psychoanalysis. 1933 - Sigmund Freud has a letter exchange with Albert Einstein on the topic Why the War? May: The Nazi put Freud's work on fire in Berlin. 1935 -
Sigmund Freud is assigned Honorary member of the Royal British Medical Society. 1936 - Thomas Mann makes a lecture on Freud and the Future in Konzerthaus, in Vienna. 1937 -
Analysis Terminable and Interminable. 1938 - March 13th: Austria's annexation (Anschluss). Freud's house and the headquarters of the Vienna Association of Psychoanalysis are searched. Anna Freud is
arrested and interrogated by the Gestapo. Roosevelt and Mussolini intervene in Freud's favor. In June, Freud and his family emigrate to Great Britain. He continues to treat his patients. 1939 - September 23rd
, Freud's death. Moses and Monotheism is published. 1940 - An Outline of Psychoanalysis. Splitting of the Ego in the Process of Defence. 1951 - The death of Martha Freud.
